Immerse yourself in the creative, tactile, intuitive and playful world of designing with clay

Anna Heringer and Martin Rauch form a strong team in the field of sustainable, handcrafted architecture.
Martin brings his in-depth experience with clay, rammed earth technology and natural building materials to the projects. For him, clay is not just a building material, but an expression of craftsmanship, artistic design and sustainability. Anna, on the other hand, has a holistic architectural philosophy in which local materials, social responsibility and the involvement of people in the planning and construction process play central roles.
What they have in common is that architecture is not only functional, but also lively, atmospheric and human: spaces that are not just built, but designed with feeling, respect for materials and the environment.
Master Class for students, designers, architects and anyone who is interested in experimental, physical and collaborative design.

Contents

Craft & intuition: Through direct shaping with clay, you practise designing with your body. With feeling, balance and material experience, spaces and concepts are created that are not only experienced and constructed rationally, but also sensually and vividly.

Rediscover creativity: Clay Storming helps to overcome creative blocks, allow new thinking and explore spontaneous, unfamiliar ideas, beyond the usual design processes.

Design & reflect together: A lively, collective design process is created through joint modeling, changing perspectives and sharing within the group.

Goals

Bring your project, or just you. Together we will go through the five fundamental steps of Clay Storming. They enable you to create models and design ideas with a new methodology and expression. The resulting models are an expression of an intuitive, material- and sense-oriented understanding of architecture and space, and are a unique experience.

Location: For the first time in the Werkhalle in Schlins

Date: Summer semester, date to be announced.

Costs: 480 euros (lunch included), maximum 14 participants

We have one space left for a scholarship. Let us know what motivates you by writing an email.
